Acting Through Song Workshop
Bring your song to life through character, intention, and authentic performance. Ages 10+
Workshop Description
In this workshop, we will guide participants through the process of bringing a song to life. Participants will first perform their selected piece, after which Lockwood will collaborate with the participant through character work, composer/lyricist's intent, and sustainable techniques that will add a whole new level of depth to their performance. All participants and guests are invited to watch the workshop in its entirety, staying to watch even after the participant has completed their session. Watching others go through the process is a great way to further develop the process. Zachery Lockwood Zachery Tyler Lockwood is a performer, music educator, and arts administrator. As a singer, Lockwood has wowed audiences with professional-quality performances from a young age, being praised for his "robust sound" that exerts a "youthful exuberance." In 2018, Lockwood was awarded the first-place prize in both the Henry Sanborn Music Competition and the Peggy Friedmann-Gordon Music Competition. When not performing locally, he currently serves as the Company Manager of OperaDelaware.
